Previously based in Newton Abbot and known as DQS, with many long-standing and loyal clients, we’ve been part of Quilter Private Client Advisers since 2016. With easy access from the M5, between the Blackdown Hills and Dartmoor, our office is ideally located to take care of the South West region. Jonathan Burden is from Exeter originally and he returned to Devon after graduating with an Honours degree in Modern European Studies. He has spent most of this time working in the South West with a short time in the City of London with Thomson Reuters. Jonathan has held various positions in Financial Services since 1995, including advising his own clients and several leadership positions, most recently as a Regional Manager at NatWest where he improved client outcomes and internal controls and was an integral member of several senior Boards / Controls Groups. He joined Quilter Private Client Advisers in 2018 with overall responsibility for the growth and development of the South West regional office, drawing on his considerable experience and expertise in the industry.

Dean has over thirty years’ experience in the financial services sector, with time spent both in the UK and international markets. This has given him exposure to customers from a very broad spectrum in terms of both social and financial backgrounds.

He has acquired a wide range of knowledge and is passionate about applying this in providing solutions for his customers in a simple to understand, jargon free manner. He considers that it is vital financial advice is provided not just for today, but on an ongoing basis through the numerous life stages we all face.

Most recently Dean spent the last four years dealing with Public Sector employees specialising in but not limited to advice on their pensions.

Ian is a Financial Planner with over 20 years of Financial Services experience. He is a Chartered Member of the London Institute of Banking and Finance and holds a Masters Degree from The University of Birmingham.

He is currently responsible for working with High Net Worth clients to create and implement tailored advice to meet their goals, both before and during retirement. He is always helping clients with the complexities around wealth, seeking to strengthen clients’ financial positions and protect their wealth now and in the future. Ian has a number of clients that he has worked with for over 20 years.
