Darren Sharkey

Darren Sharkey

Managing Director

Darren joined the Intrinsic Board in February 2017 and has worked within the Quilter group for over 20 years holding a number of regulated board responsibilities. He was heavily involved in the acquisition of Intrinsic by Old Mutual Wealth (now Quilter) and brings a wealth of knowledge to the role of Intrinsic’s Finance Director, including reporting, business planning and proposition development expertise. Darren is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ireland (FCA) and will assume responsibility for the management of Quilter Private Client Advisers.

Nigel ran an independent advice firm for 21 years before selling the company to a prominent wealth management company in 2008. At that time, he became CEO of the company before taking on the role of Head of Distribution in 2010. In 2015, Nigel joined Old Mutual Wealth (now Quilter plc) to lead the development of Quilter Private Client Advisers. Nigel is passionate about delivering exceptional client outcomes and although he retired from his position as Managing Director in December 2018, he continues to take an active interest staying on as Vice Chairman.

Andy has over 25 years of experience in financial services. Having held senior management positions within global wealth and asset management companies, he now has responsibility for leading business growth, sales and acquisitions at Quilter Private Client Advisers.

Dominic Rose

Dominic Rose

Strategy & Acquisition Director

With a degree in industrial economics and a corporate finance background, Dominic has spent the last 10 years working for financial planning businesses. In 2012, as part of the senior leadership team at his previous firm, he helped establish and grow a now well-known national wealth management business with responsibility for both acquiring companies and managing teams of financial planners. He joined Quilter Private Client Advisers in 2016 and now has responsibility for the growth and development of the London business, drawing on his considerable experience and expertise in the industry.

Sarah Waring

Sarah Waring

Client & Proposition Director

Sarah has worked in financial services for the last 10 years, following the achievement of her First Class Honours degree in Mathematics. She started her career as a graduate trainee in 2005, and became a qualified adviser a year later. In 2008, she was awarded with the Financial Times’ ‘Newly Qualified Adviser of the Year’ award. Sarah joined Quilter Private Client Advisers in July 2015 as a Regional Director, with the responsibility of growing the Chester Team.
